新莊武聖廟簡介(台北縣新莊夜市內)
新莊武聖廟俗稱關帝廟，創建於清乾隆二十五年(公元一七六零年)，距今已有二百四十餘年歷史。新莊武聖廟奉祀主神關聖帝君，是台灣北部地區最早亦最大的武廟。新莊武聖廟和漢人在台北盆地移墾史以及新莊發展史有非常重要地位與價值，民國七十四年獲內政部評定為國家三級古蹟。
新莊武聖廟是發起組織台北縣道教會及台北縣關聖帝君爐下聯合慶典委員會創始者，新莊武聖廟除了落實道廟課誦道經外，並且到全省各友宮贊揚道經，推廣《有廟有教》理念。藉以發展道教教義、道務及科儀之統一。
新莊武聖廟組織是管理委員會制，主任委員劉國珍先生、副主任委員楊昭修先生、常務監察委員張喜財先生、總幹事陳明堂先生、管理委員許孟忠先生、黃添丁先生 . . . 等都是地方仕紳顯達一時之選。劉主委歷任台灣省道教會理事長、名譽理事長、中華民國道教總會副理事長等職。
新莊武聖廟為了回饋地方，在民國七十三年成立武聖慈善基金會，舉辦社會福利慈善事業為宗旨，辦理急難救助及獎助家境清寒優秀學生完成學業，到目前為止，受惠社會民眾及青年學子無數。新莊武聖廟在廟的左側購買一百八十坪建地並議決興建地下一層地上六層的現代化圖書館，現在已在進行中，不久即可竣工啟用。
新莊武聖廟奉祀武聖關公，分春秋兩祭，春祭農曆正月十三日(正月十一日至十五日五天法會)，秋祭農曆六月二十四日(六月二十日至二十四日五天法會)，農曆五月十三日、十月三十日分別祭祀關平太子及周倉將軍。農曆十月一日開始接受光明燈登記，十二月十五日謝燈謝平安。安太歲要在冬至過後，故約在農曆十一月十五日才接受登記。本廟住持是蔡道長志清，本廟朔望及早晚課誦道經外，並替信眾消災解厄，解說籤詩等等相關服務之提供。
新莊武聖廟坐向為子山坎向，空間格局由外而內為外堤、三川殿、中庭(天井)、拜亭、正殿、後庭兩廊及後殿(分太歲殿供奉玄天上帝、六十甲子太歲星君及開山廳供奉歷代聖賢牌位)及增建三樓通明殿(供奉至皇上帝、三官大帝、五顯大帝、南、北斗星君)二樓璇機殿(供奉斗姥天尊、文昌帝君、天皇大帝、紫微大帝)，共有八個香爐由外而內朝拜，即眾天公爐，關聖帝君爐居中，關平太子金周倉將軍兩爐左右旁襯，後殿則為開山先賢爐位。通常上香一柱或三柱，執香朝拜之姿勢：〈雙手執清香於於胸前(不放於眉之上或頭頂之上)〉，上拜舉香不過眉，下拜必恭必敬而垂拱，形似天上半月。空手朝拜之姿勢：〈兩手把拱作揖，身體需彎曲形似天上半月〉。
